Friends of the Waldwick Library

Friends of the Waldwick Library is an independent organization of volunteers who work to support library programs and services that are beyond the reach of the library's annual operating budget. In October of 2012, the Friends completed a major capital campaign that contributed $200,000 to the 1,200 square-foot expansion and major renovation of the library building. Their successful fundraising efforts over a three-year period provided half of the funding needed to construct a new meeting room, create a local history archives and gallery, and provide a space for quiet study.

Currently, the Friends are working to fund the summer reading program for children, a variety of cultural programs and concerts for adults, purchase of new equipment, and the popular museum-pass program. The Friends of the Library hold regular meetings in the George F. Fredricks Meeting Room. New members are always welcome.

The next Friends meeting will be held on May 20, 7:00 pm.
