                                      Quiet Study

As a community service, the library makes its Local History Room available to Waldwick residents for periods of quiet study when it is not being used for its primary purpose: library-related activities. Additionally, the Local History Room may be used for meetings of nonprofit community groups that do not exceed the maximum occupancy of six persons. Nonprofit community groups are defined and limited to "those groups which are located within or have their principal business address within the Borough of Waldwick." Use of the Local History Room shall be governed by the same tenets contained in the Waldwick Library Meeting Room Policy and Waldwick Library Code of Conduct.

Applications for use of the Local History Room will accepted from and limited to:

  • Waldwick residents (proof of residency required)

  • Waldwick Library ESOL tutors

  • Nonprofit community groups of six persons or less

As in all other areas of the library, the use of cell phones, and the consumption of food or beverages is strictly prohibited.

Use of the telephone, computer, scanning, and printing equipment located in the Local History Room is strictly prohibited by those using the room by request.

The Local History Room may not be reserved for more than two hours per day or ten hours per week.

Patrons more than fifteen minutes late for their reservation will forfeit their use of the room, unless they notify library personnel.
